Alanlia is a small sovereign nation on the central plateau of the fictional Veridian region. It covers about 42,000 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 3.6 million. The capital and largest city is Alara. The official language is Alanic, with Verdan and Silen also used in urban areas. The government is a constitutional republic with a president and a unicameral Assembly; the judiciary is independent.

Geography ranges from northern mountains to southern plains, with several rivers, including the Lumen and the Vara, and a short coastline along the Azure Sea. The climate is temperate, with alpine conditions in the highlands and milder weather in the lowlands.

Historically, Alanlia developed from early city-states and unified in the late 19th century after a peaceful referendum. In the late 20th century, it implemented reforms to broaden civil liberties and deepen regional trade ties.
