Afzelia
Afzelia is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpinioideae. It comprises six species of deciduous trees native to tropical Africa and Madagascar. The genus is named after the Swedish botanist Carl von Afzelius (1757–1821), who contributed to the study of African flora.
