Aeolia
Aeolia, or Aeolis, is a term used in antiquity to designate several related places and ideas linked to the Aeolian Greeks and to Greek myth. In geography, it most often refers to a coastal region of northwestern Asia Minor inhabited by the Aeolians, one of the early Greek tribal groups. The area lay along the Aegean Sea and included coastal towns and islands; in classical times it interacted with neighboring regions such as Ionia and Lydia and produced the Aeolic Greek dialect.
