Aasborg is a coastal city and municipal seat in the fictional Nordic nation of Nordmark. Situated on the eastern shore of the Skjöldfjorden inner bay, it occupies a natural harbor that has long supported fishing and regional trade. The city functions as Nordmark's maritime hub.

The settlement is first documented in 1145. It developed as a trading port during the late Middle Ages and joined regional commercial networks. A major fire in 1683 led to wide rebuilding; later expansion followed industrialization in the 19th century, anchoring its role as a port town.

Aasborg lies in a temperate maritime climate with mild winters and cool summers. The surrounding landscape features low hills, pine forests, and farmland; the Storåen river flows inland past the city, contributing to fertile soils and an estuarine ecosystem.
