Aarisella

Aarisella is a meteorite impact site located on the northwestern coast of Finland. The site, which spans approximately 30 hectares, is estimated to have been formed around 1.2 billion years ago when a massive meteorite struck the Earth's surface.

The impact event, which occurred during the late Moldanubian stage of the Proterozoic era, is believed to have formed a large impact crater with a diameter of roughly 10 kilometers. The subsequent excavation of the site has revealed a diverse geological profile, featuring a range of metamorphic and igneous rocks.
