ATATRIMStandard

ATATRIMStandard is a standards specification developed by the ATATRIM Consortium to enable interoperability among ATATRIM-enabled systems. It defines a common set of data models, communication interfaces, and behavioral requirements for devices and software that manage autonomous trimming, stabilization, and coordinated control in transportation, robotics, and industrial equipment. The goal is to reduce integration risk, improve safety and reliability, and facilitate cross-vendor reuse of components.

Scope includes device-level interfaces, edge and cloud components, and application software that participate in ATATRIM workflows. The standard addresses safety and cybersecurity considerations, performance constraints, and privacy requirements for data exchange. It specifies requirements for conformance, testing, and documentation to support certification by participating organizations and national standards bodies.

Technical content centers on a reference architecture, core data models, and a library of APIs and messages that enable modular composition of ATATRIM systems. It prescribes encoding formats, versioning rules, and change management, along with a described conformance test suite. The standard supports backward compatibility and a clear upgrade path across major releases.

Governance is organized through international working groups under the ATATRIM Consortium, with open membership criteria for industry, academia, and government. Public drafts undergo review, and final publication follows consensus-based approval. A certification program verifies compliance and assists buyers in assessing vendor interoperability.
