AEFE

AEFE, also known as the Agency for French Education Abroad (Agence pour l'enseignement français à l'étranger), is a public institution under the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs dedicated to promoting French education internationally. Established in 1995, AEFE oversees a global network of French schools aimed at providing quality French curriculum and educational standards outside France.

The organization manages over 500 schools across more than 130 countries, serving a diverse student body including French expatriates, local students, and international students seeking French education. These schools often follow the national French curriculum, and many participate in the French national baccalaureate exams.

AEFE’s mission centers on fostering the French language and culture abroad while supporting the academic excellence and cultural diversity of its member schools. It provides technical assistance, teacher training, and resources to ensure consistency and high standards in education delivery.
