It plays a significant role in regulating glucose levels and fatty acid breakdown. ACRP30 circulates in the bloodstream and is involved in numerous metabolic processes. The protein exists in various molecular forms, including trimers, hexamers, and higher molecular weight oligomers, which appear to have different biological activities.
