AAABatterien
AAABatterien are a common type of small cylindrical disposable battery. They are also known as LR6 in IEC nomenclature and 15A in ANSI/NEDA standards. These batteries are widely used in a vast array of consumer electronic devices due to their compact size and moderate power output. Common applications include remote controls, portable audio players, digital cameras, toys, and wireless peripherals. The nominal voltage of a fresh alkaline AAABattery is typically 1.5 volts. They are constructed with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte separating them. The most prevalent chemistry for AAABatterien is alkaline, which uses zinc and manganese dioxide. Rechargeable versions of AAABatterien are also available, most commonly using Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) chemistry, which provides a lower initial voltage of around 1.2 volts but can be reused hundreds of times. The size dimensions for AAABatterien are standardized, measuring approximately 50.5 millimeters in length and 14.5 millimeters in diameter. Proper disposal of spent batteries is important to prevent environmental contamination, and many regions offer battery recycling programs.
