Ühtlustad

Ühtlustad is a fictional town and municipality in the Baltic-inspired country of Kaerla, located on the delta of the Väri River near the southern coast. The name is derived from the local language and is commonly interpreted as a reference to unity and cooperative community life.

Geographically, Ühtlustad covers about 28 square kilometers and features a mix of lowland fields, riverbanks, and a historic town center. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild summers and wet winters. A network of green corridors and a small harbor shape the urban layout.

Ühtlustad’s history dates to the 13th century as a trading outpost that grew around a river crossing. It developed into a market town and administrative center in the early modern period, underwent municipal reform in the 1990s, and today maintains a balanced urban-rural character.

Population is around 12,400, with Kaerlanic as the predominant language and a small multilingual minority. The economy relies on logistics, light manufacturing, and agriculture, supported by the port and an intermodal freight terminal. Tourism centers on the old town and the nearby nature reserves.
