üleküllastumist
Üleküllastumist, meaning oversaturation, is a concept that can be applied in various fields, most notably in chemistry and psychology. In chemistry, it refers to a solution that contains more solute than it can normally dissolve at a given temperature and pressure. This usually happens when a solution is cooled down or has had more solvent evaporated, leading to a metastable state where the excess solute remains dissolved. If disturbed, for instance by adding a seed crystal or agitation, the excess solute will precipitate out, returning the solution to a saturated state.
In psychology, üleküllastumist describes a state of being overwhelmed by too much information, stimulation, or stimuli.
