Áramirányítók, or current directors, are devices used in electrical engineering to control the direction of current flow within a circuit. They are fundamental components for managing power distribution and signal routing. The primary function of an áramirányító is to allow current to pass in one direction while blocking it in the opposite direction. This unidirectional characteristic is crucial for many electronic applications.

Different types of áramirányítók exist, with diodes being the most common example. Semiconductor diodes, made from materials like silicon or germanium, create a junction that exhibits this directional conductivity.
