Üksiktaotluste is an Estonian legal term that refers to single or individual requests or applications made within a broader procedural context. The word itself is a compound of “üksik,” meaning one or individual, and “taotlus,” meaning request or application. In legal practice, a üksiktaotlus is typically a specific plea or demand presented to a court, agency, or administrative body that can stand alone rather than being part of a consolidated set of requests.

The concept is most often encountered in civil and criminal proceedings. In civil cases, a plaintiff may file üksiktaotlused to seek specific remedies such as damages, injunctions, or restitution for a particular claim. In criminal appeals, defendants sometimes submit üksiktaotlused to challenge individual elements of a judgment or to request review of a specific legal point. These requests are usually addressed individually, allowing the adjudicating authority to consider each claim on its own merits.

Estonian procedural rules provide guidelines for the filing, format, and timing of üksiktaotlused. The Civil Procedure Code (Rikeseadus) requires that each request be clearly identified within the application, indicating the legal basis and the relief sought.
