Újraválasztható

Újraválasztható is an adjective used in Hungarian political and legal discourse to describe an office for which a person may stand for election again after a term ends. The concept concerns eligibility to seek re-election rather than the outcome of an election. The word is built from újra (again) and választható (able to be elected).

Whether an office is újraválasztható depends on constitutional and statutory provisions. Some systems impose term limits that restrict the number of consecutive terms a person may serve, while others allow unlimited re-election. Some constitutions permit re-election only after a break or only for non-consecutive terms, and others may impose additional eligibility criteria such as age or disqualification rules.
