Õhukõrgutajad

Õhukõrgutajad, also known as air separators or air classifiers, are mechanical devices used to separate particles of different sizes based on their aerodynamic properties. They are commonly employed in industries such as mining, recycling, and food processing. The principle behind their operation relies on the interaction between particles and an upward-flowing airstream.

In a typical õhukõrgutaja, material is introduced into a chamber where a controlled airflow is generated. Lighter particles, which have a lower terminal velocity, are carried upwards by the airstream and are collected separately. Denser or larger particles, with higher terminal velocities, resist the airflow and fall to the bottom of the chamber, where they can be removed. The efficiency of the separation process depends on factors like airflow velocity, particle density, particle shape, and the design of the classifier itself.

Various types of õhukõrgutajad exist, including cyclone separators, vibratory air classifiers, and fluid bed classifiers, each suited for different applications and particle characteristics. These devices are crucial for achieving product purification, improving material quality, and enabling efficient resource recovery by separating valuable components from waste materials or byproducts. Their application helps in optimizing industrial processes and reducing environmental impact.
