zzátok is a small rural locality located in the western part of the Hungarian county of Veszprém. The settlement lies in a predominantly agricultural landscape, surrounded by mixed forests and vineyards that characterize the region's economy. According to the most recent census data from 2021, zzátok has an approximate population of 320 residents, a figure that reflects a slight decline compared to the early 1990s when the population was near 450. This demographic shift is largely attributed to urban migration patterns common in central Hungary.

The history of zzátok can be traced back to the 13th century, when it was first mentioned in imperial land registers as a feudal estate belonging to a local noble family. Over the centuries the village retained its agrarian character, and the 19th century saw the construction of a modest church that still serves as a community center. In the 20th century, zzátok experienced the national trend of collectivization during the socialist era, after which many farms were reorganised into state-run agricultural cooperatives. Following the transition to a market economy in the early 1990s, the cooperatives were privatized, and the village gradually adapted to new economic conditions.

Today, zzátok’s main economic activities remain centered on small-scale farming, including the cultivation of wheat, corn, and local grape varieties for wine production. Seasonal tourism also contributes to the local economy, with visitors drawn to the region's natural beauty and traditional rural lifestyle. The settlement is connected to the regional road network by a county-maintained secondary road that provides direct access to the nearest town, Balatonfüred, located approximately eight kilometres to the north. Public transport is limited; most residents rely on private vehicles for commuting.
