Zogj is a term used in linguistics and worldbuilding as a hypothetical or placeholder word. It functions as an illustrative lexical item rather than a real word with a fixed meaning in any language. The spelling zogj is arbitrary and chosen to suit specific phonotactic or orthographic demonstrations.

In linguistic practice, zogj often appears in examples to test how a language handles phoneme sequences, syllable structure, inflection, or derivation.
