Zeaksantiinia is a term used in some speculative or fictional contexts to denote a carotenoid pigment related to the xanthophyll family. It is not a widely recognized compound in peer-reviewed biochemistry, and no verified natural product or synthesis has been documented under this name.

In envisaged structures, zeaksantiinia would share the characteristic polyene chain of xanthophylls and would likely feature two polar end groups that confer some degree of hydrophilicity, enabling interaction with lipid–water interfaces in biological membranes. The hypothetical molecule would be closely related to zeaxanthin, possibly differing by substitutions on the ring systems or by the absence/presence of functional groups.

Potential roles, if such a pigment existed, would be analogous to established carotenoids: light absorption in the blue–green region, protection against photooxidative stress, and possible involvement in photoprotection of retinal tissues. In plants and algae, related xanthophylls participate in non-photochemical quenching and antioxidant defenses; in animals, carotenoids can contribute to ocular protection.
