YSR is an acronym most commonly associated with Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy (1949–2009), an Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2004 until his death in 2009. A member of the Indian National Congress, he led the state government after a decisive 2004 election victory and pursued a range of welfare-oriented policies aimed at rural and poor communities.
