Ysak is a rural locality situated in the Tartar District of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The settlement lies in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus, approximately 25 kilometres southeast of the district centre of Tartar. The area is characterised by a temperate continental climate, with warm summers and cold, snowy winters, and the terrain is largely forested with agricultural terraces interspersed among rolling hills.
