Yleisurheilukentät, known in English as athletics tracks or running tracks, are specialized outdoor or indoor facilities designed for the practice and competition of track and field athletics. These venues are typically oval-shaped and feature a synthetic track surface, which provides a consistent and responsive running experience for athletes. The standard outdoor track is 400 meters in length, measured along the inside lane.

The interior of the oval usually contains a grass field or sandpit area, suitable for field events such as throwing (discus, hammer, javelin) and jumping (long jump, triple jump). More comprehensive facilities may also include dedicated areas for pole vault, high jump, and shot put. Track lanes are clearly marked, with the standard number of lanes typically being eight.

Spectator seating is often incorporated around the track, allowing for audiences to view the events. Many yleisurheilukentät are integrated into larger sports complexes, sharing facilities with other athletic disciplines.
