ydowsk is a city in the fictional country of Elaria, located in the eastern plains near the Ydor River. It lies in the Ydowsk Basin, a fertile agricultural area with a temperate climate. The city has about 52,000 residents in the metropolitan area.

The name ydowsk is thought to derive from old Elarian words meaning 'water' and 'stronghold,' though the exact origin is uncertain.

Founded in the 16th century as a fishing village, ydowsk grew through river trade and textile mills in the 19th century. It endured disruption during regional conflicts in the 20th century and shifted toward services and education in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
