Växelriktaren, often referred to as an inverter in English, is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity. This process is fundamental to many modern technologies, enabling the use of DC power sources in AC-powered systems.

The primary function of a växelriktaren is to change the direction of the current flow periodically, thus creating an alternating waveform.
