Viestintärooleja are communication roles that describe the different functions individuals or groups can perform within a communication process. Other roles might include the idea generator, who contributes new concepts; the critic, who evaluates ideas; the harmonizer, who resolves conflicts; and the reporter, who documents outcomes and decisions. The effectiveness of a communication process often depends on the balance and skillful execution of these various roles. Understanding one's own communication role and recognizing the roles of others can foster better collaboration, reduce misunderstandings, and lead to more productive outcomes. In many situations, individuals may occupy multiple roles or their roles may shift depending on the specific communication event.
