Veriaivoston is an intermunicipal federation in the fictional Verdania, comprising six municipalities along the Veria River Valley. It serves as a formal political and administrative framework for coordinating regional planning, shared services, infrastructure, and environmental management across member communities.

The governance of Veriaivoston centers on a unicameral Veriaivoston Assembly, with members elected from the six municipalities for four-year terms. The Assembly elects an Executive Council, led by a President, to implement policy and manage the federation’s day-to-day operations. A Permanent Secretariat provides administrative support, research, and coordination for cross-municipal programs. The federation is responsible for regional transport planning, waste management, water resources, energy projects, and cultural or tourism initiatives that cross municipal boundaries.

Veriaivoston originated in the early 1990s as a reform initiative to improve regional cooperation and efficiency. It gained formal legal status and funding authority in the late 1990s and gradually expanded from three to six municipalities by 2006. Since then, it has pursued projects in renewable energy, shared schooling and health networks, and joint disaster-response arrangements, while maintaining close liaison with Verdania’s national government and neighboring regions.

Economically, Veriaivoston features a mixed economy with agriculture, forestry, light manufacturing, and growing service sectors. Renewable energy projects, particularly hydroelectric and wind installations along the Veria corridor, form a growing share of regional development. The federation also promotes cultural exchange, tourism, and environmental stewardship as part of its regional identity.
