Veokile is a rare silicate mineral described in mineralogical literature. It crystallizes in the hexagonal system and is typically found as slender prismatic crystals with a vitreous to resinous luster. Color ranges from colorless to pale blue, and the mineral is usually brittle with a conchoidal to uneven fracture. Veokile exhibits a relatively high refractive index for silicates and shows weak pleochroism under polarized light.

The chemical composition of veokile is best described as a complex aluminosilicate with a variable framework that often includes silicon, aluminum, magnesium and/or iron, with calcium and other cations present in interc gran relationships. Because of the variability in its composition, veokile is commonly classified as a member of a broader silicate family rather than by a single fixed formula. Its structure is characterized by interconnected silicate tetrahedra arranged in layers, which contributes to its observed physical properties.

Veokile forms in high-grade metamorphic rocks, such as schists and gneisses, under conditions of elevated temperature and pressure. It is typically found as accessory grains within metamorphic foliation and in veinlets together with minerals like garnet, cordierite, quartz and muscovite. Known occurrences are limited to a few regional belts and mineral-rich outcrops, where veokile crystals are often fragmentary due to the deformational history of the host rocks.

In practical terms, veokile is of interest primarily to mineral collectors and researchers studying metamorphic silicates. Its rarity limits any broad industrial or commercial use, but it contributes to the understanding of mineral diversity and metamorphic processes.
