Vektoriske is a Norwegian adjective used to describe concepts that involve vectors or vector quantities. It appears across mathematics, physics, and computer science to indicate that something is defined by direction and magnitude, or expressed through vectors. In mathematics and physics the term appears in phrases such as vektoriske felt (vector fields), where at each point in a space a vector is assigned; vektoriske rom (vector spaces), which provide the structure for linear operations; and vektoriske funksjoner (vector-valued functions), whose outputs are vectors rather than scalars. It also distinguishes vektoriske størrelser (vector quantities) from scalar quantities, which have only magnitude.
