Vegstandarder are a set of national guidelines and normative documents that define the minimum requirements for planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of road networks. They establish the technical basis for safe, reliable, and durable roads and cover aspects such as geometry, materials, drainage, safety features, and traffic management. By harmonizing design approaches, vegstandarder aim to ensure compatibility across municipalities, contractors, and different road types.
