vakuumimuovaus
vakuumimuovaus is a manufacturing technique in which a plastic or composite material is shaped into a desired form by applying vacuum pressure to a lightweight mold or scaffold. The process begins with the creation of a master pattern or mold in the shape of the final product. A thin, flexible film—often a polymer or foil—is placed over the pattern. The material to be molded is then positioned over the film, and the assembly is sealed in a vacuum chamber. By evacuating air from the chamber, atmospheric pressure forces the film and material to conform tightly to the pattern, creating a uniform, well‑defined shape without the need for high temperatures or heavy molds.
The vacuum molding process is employed in a variety of applications, including automotive trim, consumer electronics
Despite its benefits, vakuumimuovaus has limitations. Because the molding relies on atmospheric pressure alone, the mechanical
