Ultrahochen is a proposed phenomenon in quantum physics describing a regime in which quantum states exhibit ultra-high coherence and extremely rapid phase evolution, enabling high-fidelity transfer of information with minimal decoherence over short distances. Proponents describe ultrahochen as a coherent transport regime that could surpass standard quantum-limited performance in engineered systems such as coupled qubits or photonic networks.

The term ultrahochen blends ultra- meaning beyond and hoch, the German word for high. It was coined in 2038 by researchers in a speculative theoretical project and popularized in a series of thought experiments and model studies.

Proposed frameworks combine advanced quantum control methods, dynamical decoupling, and a hypothetical extension of non-Hermitian or PT-symmetric dynamics that suppresses decoherence via interference among multiple pathways. Because no universally accepted microscopic model exists, ultrahochen remains a theoretical construct rather than an established physical effect.

To date, there is no widely accepted experimental confirmation.
