Tööstusriik, meaning industrialized country in Estonian, refers to a nation where the economy is largely based on manufacturing and industrial production rather than on agriculture. This transition from an agrarian to an industrial economy is a significant historical development, often associated with the Industrial Revolution. In a tööstusriik, large factories and advanced technology are common, leading to increased urbanization as people move from rural areas to find work in industrial centers.
