Tähtikuviin, or "asterisms" in English, refer to recognizable patterns or groups of stars that are formed by connecting the stars visible in the night sky. Unlike constellations, which are officially defined regions of the sky with specific boundaries, asterisms are informal groupings of stars that often form part of a larger constellation or are standalone patterns. These patterns have been used for centuries across various cultures for navigation, storytelling, and cultural significance.
