tvOS

tvOS is Apple's operating system for the Apple TV digital media player. Built on a foundation of iOS, it provides the user interface, app execution environment, and system services that run on the set-top box. The platform was introduced in 2015 as Apple TV OS and was renamed tvOS in 2016 with the fourth-generation Apple TV. It is designed to run apps and games accessed through the tvOS App Store and controlled with the Siri Remote.
