Tulostusjobi refers to a printing job or task. In computing and office environments, it describes the process of sending a document or file to a printer to be physically reproduced. When a user initiates a print command from an application, the data is sent to a print spooler, which manages the queue of pending print jobs.

The print spooler then sends the job to the appropriate printer driver, which translates the document's data into a format the printer understands. Finally, the printer receives the instructions and executes the physical printing process, producing the hard copy. Each tulostusjobi has a unique identifier and can often be monitored through the operating system's print queue interface, allowing users to view its status, pause, resume, or cancel it. The term is commonly used in Finnish-speaking contexts.
