Transporty is a Polish term used to denote transportation systems and modes. In common usage it refers to the movement of people and goods by various means, and to the infrastructure that supports that movement. The field encompasses vehicle design, traffic and transit management, logistics, and safety regulations. In English, the corresponding terms are transport or transportation, but transporty is widely used in Polish-language discussions of mobility and planning.

Typical categories of transport include road, rail, water, air, and pipelines. Road transport covers private cars, buses, and trucks; rail transport includes passenger and freight trains; water transport comprises ships and inland vessels; air transport involves airplanes and cargo jets; pipelines move liquids and gases. In urban contexts non-motorized transport such as walking and cycling is also considered, especially in planning pedestrian networks and bike lanes. Transport networks rely on infrastructure such as roads, railways, ports, airports, terminals, and logistics centers, and often employ intermodal connections to switch between modes.

Policy, regulation, and investment shape transport systems. Key objectives include safety, efficiency, accessibility, and resilience, along with environmental sustainability. There is increasing emphasis on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting public transit, active transport, and freight efficiency. Technological advances—electrification of vehicles, autonomous systems, smart traffic management, and data-driven logistics—are transforming operations and planning. The study of transporty thus covers planning, data collection, performance measurement, and the interaction of transportation with land use, economy, and the environment.
