Torkcykel is a term sometimes used colloquially, particularly in certain regions, to describe a type of bicycle that is designed for rough terrain and off-road riding. It is essentially a synonym for what is more commonly known as a mountain bike. The name "torkcykel" hints at its capability to handle challenging or "torn" (rough) surfaces, distinguishing it from bicycles intended for smooth, paved roads.
