Appeals and further review flow to higher courts. Decisions from tingrätt can be appealed to hovrätt (the court of appeal). In certain cases, further review may be possible in Högsta domstolen (the Supreme Court) with permission to appeal. The appellate process focuses on legal errors and the sufficiency of evidence, rather than reweighing all facts.
