tilimizdagi
Tilimizdagi is a form in Uzbek grammar that expresses “in our language.” It is built from tilimiz (our language) with the locative-relational suffix -dagi, yielding a word that can modify a following noun to indicate that the described items exist in or belong to our language.
Morphology and meaning: tilimiz combines the noun til (language) with the possessive suffix -imiz (our), forming
Usage: tilimizdagi is used to refer to elements that are part of or found in our language,
- Tilimizdagi xatolarni to‘g‘irlash kerak. (We need to correct the mistakes in our language.)
- Tilimizdagi so‘zlar ma’nosi o‘zgarishi mumkin. (The words in our language may change in meaning.)
- Kitob tilimizdagi matnlar orqali o‘rganiladi. (The book is studied through the texts in our language.)
Notes: While tilimizdagi conveys “in our language,” Uzbek also uses tilimizda (in our language) to mark location
