Termoszetek, also known as thermos bottles or vacuum flasks, are insulated containers designed to keep liquids hot or cold for extended periods. They consist of a double-walled vacuum-sealed structure, with the space between the walls evacuated to minimize heat transfer. The outer wall is typically made of stainless steel or plastic, while the inner wall is usually glass or plastic. The vacuum insulation is surrounded by a secondary layer of insulation, often made of foam or plastic, to provide additional protection against external temperature changes.

Termoszetek were invented by Sir James Dewar in 1892, and they have since become widely used for their ability to maintain the temperature of their contents. They are commonly used for beverages, such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, as well as for food storage, such as soups and stews. Termoszetek are also used in scientific and industrial applications, where precise temperature control is required.

The effectiveness of termoszetek depends on several factors, including the quality of the vacuum seal, the thickness of the insulation layers, and the material used for the walls. High-quality termoszetek can maintain the temperature of their contents for several hours, while lower-quality ones may only last for a few minutes.
