Tegutse is a genus of medium-sized to large passerine birds belonging to the family Corvidae, which also includes crows, ravens, and jays. The genus was described by French naturalist Charles Lucien Bonaparte in 1850. The name "Tegutse" is derived from the Maori word for a magpie-like bird. There is currently only one recognized species within this genus, the Black Magpie (Tegutse niger).
