tbiopszia, a term used in some Hungarian medical writings, denotes a tissue biopsy, a procedure in which a sample of tissue is removed from the body for diagnostic examination. The aim is to establish a diagnosis, assess the nature or stage of disease, guide treatment decisions, or monitor response to therapy. Tissue samples may be taken from organs such as the breast, skin, liver, kidney, lymph nodes, lung, or gastrointestinal tract, among others.
