Most birthmarks are harmless and do not require treatment. However, in some cases, a birthmark may be associated with an underlying medical condition, or it may be a cosmetic concern. If a birthmark changes in appearance, grows rapidly, or causes discomfort, it is advisable to consult a medical professional for evaluation. Medical interventions are typically reserved for functional impairment or significant cosmetic concerns and can include laser therapy or surgical removal.
