színkoordináták refer to numerical descriptors that define a color within a specific color space. They are used in fields ranging from digital imaging and graphic design to printing and scientific research. A color space is a model that categorizes colors based on human perception or device capabilities, and its coordinates provide a standardized way to communicate and reproduce colors.

The most common color spaces include RGB, CMYK, HSV/HSL, Lab, and the colorimetric CIE 1931 XYZ system. In RGB, a color is represented by three coordinates (R, G, B) ranging from 0 to 100 % or 0 to 255 in digital formats. CMYK uses four coordinates (C, M, Y, K) for printing inks. HSV or HSL describe hue, saturation, and value/lightness, each as a ratio or percentage.
