Szkepticizmus is a Hungarian term that translates to skepticism. It refers to a philosophical stance that questions or doubts the possibility of obtaining certain knowledge or absolute truth. This doubt can be applied to various domains, including empirical knowledge, moral principles, or even the existence of God.

Historically, skeptical thought has a long tradition in philosophy, with notable figures like Pyrrho of Elis in ancient Greece, and later René Descartes who famously employed methodical doubt to find indubitable truths. In contemporary discussions, skepticism often manifests as a critical approach to claims, demanding evidence and rigorous reasoning before acceptance.
