synsfeltet
Synsfeltet, also known as the field of view, refers to the entire area that is visible to an observer at a particular moment. In human vision, the synsfeltet is determined by the anatomy of the eye, including the shape of the cornea and lens, and the arrangement of the photoreceptor cells in the retina. It is typically described as a horizontal and vertical expanse. For a typical human, the horizontal synsfeltet is around 190 degrees, while the vertical synsfeltet is about 150 degrees. This field is not uniform; peripheral vision is less detailed and has poorer color discrimination than central vision.
The concept of synsfeltet is also important in other contexts, such as optics, photography, and computer vision.
