Infants are also prone to thrush due to their immature immune systems.

These patches may be accompanied by redness, soreness, and a cottony feeling in the mouth. In some cases, individuals may experience difficulty swallowing or a loss of taste. Treatment for suukandidoos usually involves antifungal medications, which can be administered orally, as a liquid rinse, or as lozenges.
