Sunulmutur is a town and municipality in the coastal region of Valara, on the continent of Eldara. It lies in a sheltered river valley near the estuary of the Lum River, with a temperate climate characterized by hot summers and mild, wet winters. The name derives from local words sunu, meaning sun, and mutur, meaning gateway, often translated as "gateway to the sun."

Sunulmutur has a historic core enclosed by a medieval-era wall, including a lighthouse at the harbor and a market square. The surrounding hinterland is used for vineyards and olive groves, and the town maintains a small fishing fleet.

The town was established in the 12th century as a trading post and grew with river commerce and coastal routes. It gained municipal status in the 15th century and experienced rebuilding after earthquakes in the 18th and 19th centuries.
