Stuudiovalguses is an Estonian term used to describe lighting produced by studio equipment on a set, as opposed to natural or location lighting. The compound combines stuudio (studio) with valguses (in the light) and is commonly used in photography and filmmaking contexts to refer to controlled, artificial illumination provided by studio fixtures.

In studio lighting, practitioners aim for predictable light with a consistent color temperature. The setup often follows a three-point lighting concept: a key light to define form, a fill light to reduce shadows, and a backlight or hair light to separate the subject from the background. Lighting is typically diffused through soft modifiers such as softboxes or umbrellas, and color temperature is kept steady, often around 5400–6500 kelvin. Reflectors and negati ve fill can be used to fine-tune contrast and texture.

Common equipment includes studio strobes or continuous LED panels, light stands, modifiers, and background systems. The choice of modifier, distance, and power determines shadow quality and exposure.
