Stivheds is the Danish term for stiffness or rigidity, describing the resistance of an object to elastic deformation under applied forces. In science and engineering, it can refer to the material stiffness (how much a material resists deformation under stress) or to the structural stiffness of a component or assembly (how much it deforms under load).
