Sprayvaahtomuovi, also known as spray polyurethane foam (SPF), is an insulation material that is applied from a spray gun as a liquid and expands into a rigid foam. It is composed primarily of polyols and diisocyanates, which react during spraying to form a foam that expands 50–100 times its initial volume. The resulting foam can be cured at room temperature and will seal walls, ceilings, foundations, and other cavities that are difficult to access with conventional insulation boards or batts.
